About Us

Church History:
This fellowship of believers began in the spring of 1989 with approximately 25 families. The first Sunday worship service was held in the barn of one of our families. We also met in the Savannah Town Hall before meeting at the Ashland Theological Seminary. After an extensive search during 1989, the Evangelical Free Church of America was the denomination approved by this body of believers. Christ Community Church was accepted into the Allegheny District in 1990.

Our first worship service was held in December, 1990, after completing the fellowship hall and Christian Education wing. Additional Sunday School rooms were then built to finish Phase II. A Christmas Eve Service was held in an unfinished sanctuary on December 24, 1996.

Christ Community Church continues to seek God’s guidance in being a beacon to this community.
